MyDesk DDE Server not working
If you find that your DDE Server dynamic price links are not working, please try the following
- Close all the DDE Server and Excel processes from the Task Bar. Then log into DDE Server and open their Excel file. You need to always log into the DDE Server first, then open your Excel document. If you open the document and then log in, sometimes the DDE Server will not connect
Still not working? Try the steps below
- Has anything changed on your pc/laptop that might impact the spreadsheet? It could be that the Trust Centre settings in Excel have changed.Ensure the settings are aligned with the below screenshot

- Are formulas updating automatically in Excel? In Excel, under Formulas > Calculation Options check that this is switched to Automatic and not Manual. If it is set to Manual then the data will not update dynamically.
Having an issue with LME Closing Prices in DDE Server?
- In the DDE Server Menu, go to the Settings and ensure that the LME Evening Evaluations options are ticked (see below). Please restart your DDE Server after enabling these.
