Why is Fastmarkets' Cost Index showing quarterly data?

The Cost Index is linked to our Cost Benchmarking, which is updated on a quarterly basis. There is always a lag for the latest quarter data because of the comprehensiveness and breadth of data points involved. The quarter usually final two full months after the end of a quarter. We do show preliminary data as soon as possible, though, especially fiber. Other cost data can be based on that of the previous quarter until it is final.
