What is the difference between price and cost?

Price: Fastmarkets reports market prices (of pulp, paper, paperboard, wood, etc) mostly on monthly basis - these prices can be found in the Fastmarkets price tables (workspaces/price tables), as well as in Markets, Newsletters & Reports, Forecasts.

Cost: Fastmarkets' estimate of cash (production) cost that occurs to produce pulp, paper or wood products, as shown in Fastmarkets' cost benchmarking. These cost estimates are based on publicly available information, and result from Fastmarkets' mass and energy balance. Fastmarkets also provides estimates of direct and total cost.
